Hello i'm Wendy from Holland I'm desparate searching all over the world for two window control units (partnumber 153096) for our ferrari 456gt from 1994. Is there anyone who have those in stock somewhere (new or used). If there's someone who have a broken one or two then i'm interested too. Kind regards Wendy |

Hi Wendy, welcome to the forum. I'd contact Ricambi, one of our sponsors, they're the best source I can think of. Of course they are on this side of the pond... Coincidentally, there were two for sale on eBay just a couple weeks ago. Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most. |

Wendy, I've seen them on eBay. BUT I have a more imortant question that I can't figure out: Why you need two at the same time? Are you sure it's the units themselves and not something else between them? Seems suspect that both are needed. before buying, I'd be tempted to swap a known good one into your car and see if it works or take one of those from yours and try on anothe 456 GT. If I were near you we could do that. Here are our sponsors, and Ricambi right off lists it: http://www.ferrarilife.com/forums/sponsors/ btw, welcome to flife Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! Wendy- Welcome to Ferrari Life. The problem you are likely having with the window control units is an aluminum pin that bends, misaligning the parts and not allowing them to work properly. If you buy new ones, eventually you will run into exactly the same problem again. Here in the States, the Ferrari dealers and independents send their units to this group in Florida, who can completely rebuild them and replace the aluminum pin with a stainless pin. Nobody who has had this done has had problems that I have heard discussed. F1 Imports & Exotics 568 Industrial Blvd. Naples, Florida 34104 Tel. Hi guys and ladies I have just purchased a 95 456 GT and I love it, however last night while driving I changed the radio station and the left side window went down without me asking it to and now the controls won't push it back up, Any ideas would be very much appreciated Cheers Ted |

that's a new one. I've had things go on their own but not via operating, say, a peripheral radio. Try this, - open the hood - right, front, by the battery is the battery cutoff knob. - turn the knob to the off position - wait about 30 seconds - turn back on - put key into slot, turn to have the electricals go through their light up, BUT don't turn the switch to start the car - do that for about 30 seconds then - turn to ignition and turn car on. - try the window then. IIRC there was a lockout problem with the door handle if you lifted it to the open while the car was running. Used to require a tech to reset the system. That is in your manual---mine was altered to not be a problem let me know how it goes. BTW< This sounds like an after market radio system. IF so, someone might be guilty of crossing wires vampiring your radio needs. Later, if aftermarket, I'd have a look at the wiring in your fuse block = passenger's foot well.
