The longer these cars are in the hands of clueless dealers, the more weird combinations we see. First 575M I have seen with normal 550 wheels. Already have one with the Barchetta modulars, so now two with 550 wheels.

I would sure want to check if those wheels are aluminum and not the recalled magnesium wheels.

Jay- It is on a raised, rotating platform, which makes it look even more raised.

Hi Terry- This is the same 575 with the 550 barchetta wheels that you mentioned a while back. Bill gave me a heads up about the wheels since he knew I was looking for the barchetta wheels for my 550 for quite some time. I worked out the trade with this dealer and sent him my 550 OEM wheels (not the recalled ones) + some cash for his barchetta wheels. Now my dilemma is whether to mount these or keep the 19" 575 modulars I have on the car right now... Regards, Duane |

Duane- Sounds like you are pretty good at making a deal. Personally, there are no better OEM wheels for any Maranello than the 19" modulars. I would keep those and sell the 18" modulars, which are worth about $6K and are hard to find. The 19" 575M modulars are also hard to find, since they are desired by 456, 456M, 550, and 575M owners. Thanks Terry - happy new year to you as well - I posted in the intro section to say hello. It is a tough choice between the 19 modulars and the 18 barchettas. I like the look of the 19 modulars a bit more, but my purist side is telling me to keep the barchetta set that is accurate for the 550. Unfortunately I can't afford to keep a 6-7K set of wheels just sitting there so I will most likely sell one set. |
