Default thinking of selling the 575 to try something else...

two parts

1) two owner, fully serviced 2003 575 f1 w/8k miles. silver over black. silver calipers, silver piping, mod wheels, tubi, HGTC suspension retrofit. full books, records, tools, copies of titles, etc, etc.

was thinking of asking $100k for it.... or consigning with the local dealer and asking a bit more.....

2) real problem... would like to try something else but the cost to play is now significantly higher..... a nice 430 scuderia is looking $170 ish and a 599 slightly more...... so at this price point the 550-575 cars really are a terrific value....

i have no interest in the run of the mill v8 cars...

Would budget allow you to keep the 575 and acquire a CS? Would be a nice pairing.

360 challenge stradale ?? hmmm... there's really nothing in my budget stopping that move. more a garage space issue, lack of driving time, and i'm a cheap bastard.

Well it might fit nicely with the 'cheap b@stard', sorry prudent , approach. Both significantly depreciated, both magnificent Ferraris, both completely different in the driving experience delivered and I'm guessing combined would only cost a fraction in terms of depreciation vs a Scud or 599.

What about a 512BB? Certainly not run of the mill. Less than the Scud or 599 and depreciation proof.

It's just my opinion but I think your car looks better than the ones you mentioned. Being cheap is not a bad thing but if possible, think harder about what you're doing. I would really consider keeping your car and still add something else. You can sell it later if you find you have lodt that feeling for it. I sold the second love-car of my life (the first was totalled) and 5 years later, I still miss it.

I'm planning to buy a 550/575 next year and hope to keep it the rest of my life. Wish I was ready now, yours sounds like a good buy.
