Default Winter Storage

Guys, looking for advice on winter storage of my 575.
This is my first winter with the car and I had a few questions.
Is it ok to put the factory car cover on and have the battery tender on it?
I heard of issues with battery gases and having the car covered.

I would assume the usual guidlines apply to this car as any other car?
Fill tank of gas, Stabil in the tank. What else am I missing?
Anyone use those tire chocks that prevent flat spotting of the tires?

thanks
Dominic

gases won't be a problem. flat spotting either. How long will it be unmoved? if 2 months i would put it on a tender and not worry about it.

Inflate tires to 45-50 lbs. Fuel stabilizer. Park on cardboard or other media other than cement. Window slightly open. Breathable car cover of your choice. Tender. When I had to do this I drove the car at least 20 miles till finally putting it away to remove all traces of water in oil that may have formed. Protect against rodents.

I have used the tire chocks and found them acceptable, but simply not parking on cement and hyperinflating the tires did well. With fuel sablizer I no longer fill the tank as if put in properly it will protect from water condensation and ethanol breakdown, but less is best to get rid of in the Spring when you go for your first fill.

Default winter

although i have never had to winterize my 328 , i do believe in using a battery tender, sometimes my car does sit for a few weeks ,once in a while, and its nice to always have a fully charged and conditioned battey, i also have a car cover on it when its in the garage, after its washed of course. Anyways , i hope you dont have to go to long without driving your car ,Merry Christmas, Brett
