There are two rear shock absorbers for the 575M, introduced fairly early during 575M production, for a very reasonable cost on E-Bay. Actually less for the pair than one shock costs through normal channels. Same shocks are on my car and they were introduced at Assembly Number 48712 in 2002. These are much easier to adapt (should be just bolt on) than the latest shocks introduced during the MY 05 run. Those late ones, including the HGTC SHOCKS, required all kinds of extra parts. eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices Taz Terry Phillips Present: 575M 135171 Past: Dino 246 GT 02984, 365 GTB/4 14009, 308 GTS 25125 Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day. |

My only concern and I had chances on some items, were the actual age/condition of the ebay products even from a dealer. Are there any concerns. Seals etc. Like should they be sent to a certifying authority. On the first look, the lister looks to be a valid source for some items. Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! Rik- Not as far as I know. You cannot even wear out the things on the cars, so sitting around on a shelf should not be too much of a problem. Maybe Brian can comment. That is a well known and trusted wholesaler. I think even Rutland buys from them. I am sure they are new and shelf life for the few years we are talking about shouldn't matter. Koni's don't like sitting for years and years but even they would be OK for that amount of time. I guess it would be more accurate Rik to say that except for Konis I have never seen a shelf life problem related to shocks. In the case of the Konis it is a problem with the oil they use. It seperates and creates a waxy substance that settles to the bottom and clogs the valves. I have driven some barn find Ferraris that had absolutely solid suspension as a result. | You guys certainly know more about shocks than I do, but I agree with Brian's comment that AW's a good parts source. They're a little over an hour south of me out here in NJ. I've bought parts here and there over the years from them and have always been happy.

Bret- Affirmative, I just missed a clutch position sensor kit from them for $250. Made the deal, but they had already sold it to the dealer near Chicago, who promptly doubled the price on E-Bay.
