I'm on the highway right now and I'm getting constant on boost oil pressure on the top quarter even nearing 10. But on idle it drops down to 5. I checked oil level and it's topped up... Is this normal?? Sorry, I'm a newbie and don't wanna mess up my car... Thanks in advance Oh, it's a 2000 550 |

How hot is the oil? Pressure alone is meaningless. Oil temp is an important part of the equation. Also, what weight oil are you using? One more question. Just curious, have you ever read the owners manual? Last edited by Brian; 12-06-2011 at 03:03 PM. |

also new here, but my gauge was registering to high for rpm's over 3000, and going all the way off the gauge for higher engine speeds. As per a forum post, I removed the under tray and cleaned the connectors on the oil pressure sender, and has been fine since.

Hi guys! Just got home and everything went fine. Oil and water temp normal. No warning lights or whatever. First big trip with the car: 600 kms ... I'll try and do a small write up tomorrow after I get some shut eye. Thanks a zillion for everything. Michael |
