Alright, stupid question and just want an input from you guys. Took the 575 out this afternoon and water temp rose to the red zone and light came on about 2 miles from the house. Immediately park the car and let it sit a couple hours before retrieving it for a trip home. After letting it sit, I drove it home the long way home and all is just fine. No temp rise and all fans and temps are perfect. Told on another site it might be either thermostat, as I suspect, or reservoir hoses.

My stupid question is: where is the coolant level supposed to be visible in the reservoir tank if at all? If it is a stuck thermo, then fine, but if the coolant is low, I guess I need to start looking for leaks. No fluid visible on the car and temps are fine now. scratching my head........
