Hi guys!! I've been away for a few weeks, and the weather here hasn't been all that merciful so the car has stayed garaged for over a week now. Tonight, not being able to hold any longer, went down to the garage and turned it on, taking the car cover I put on everytime. Now, I don't clean the car before putting the car cover, just wash it, drive it, and then cover it but I just finished reading in a forum that covering the car without washing it thoroughly can damage the paint.... Is there any true to this? Should I leave it uncovered? I miss a good drive..... (just sharing the nostalgia) |

The car cover will just rub the particulates into the paint scratching it. A cover should only be put on a clean car. |

Thanks Brian! That's what I've read and it makes total sense! Just leave it uncovered and ready to drive!! |

If you are going to leave it sitting for more than a few days, I would wash it and put the cover back on. Also strongly recommend you always have it connected to a good battery conditioner when parked in the garage.
