Default 612 Cruising

Went to pick up my 612 at my parking slot at Kessel Racing this morning. I haven't been riding in it for a long time so I spent the day doing errands gliding around town with an occational sprint on the freeways. It is such a good Ferrari, always impressing me every ride. I'm off to Spain tomorrow but unfortunately I can't take the 612 because of torrential rains all over the Med regions. So it's back to the airport tomorrow morning, sigh.

Barry, I found the bottle of Kilbeggan 15yr you gave me on Fled 5. It was still in the boot of the 612. In a wee moment I shall have a dram to your health. Kilbeggan is what I want to drink here in Lugano for the rest of the year. I heard there is a new whiskey in South Park, it's called KillKenny (hehe). I'll let you know shortly how the Kilbeggan tasted.

Capo, after the torrential rain, not to mention snow that the 612 effortlessly glided through on FLED 5, I doubt a couple of showers around the Med would slow you down at all....

15 and a half years old now Capo! Enjoy it!
Let me know when you run out - the distillery is only a short drive from my home. Or better still let's visit it together if we ever finally arrange a Fled Ireland...

I know, the matter is time for once in my life. I need to be at a gold wedding celebration pronto in Spain and there is no reliable telling in what traffic delays the weather can cause. It's a pity 'cause I'm continuing to Sevilla afterwards for a hot date and it would have been nice to take her out for a spin. Next time...

I'll do my best. I would very much like to see Ireland since I've never been there. From what I've seen on the telly it looks like paradise, much like New Zeeland.

Taking out the Scag today

First stop is 15 miles away ... looking forward to the tunes of the exhaust and the comfort of knowing I will not be passed - not once!

Have to agree with Barry ... the results of the passenger on a date may differ greatly while driving in a Ferrari

Not as many sheep as NZ, but many other similarities.

The recession is doing its best (along with the politicians and bankers) to ruin a good country, but I very much doubt it will succeed. It would take more than that to break the Irish spirit....

I read in the Economist there were some good signs after all in Ireland. When we're booming people seem to forget that we also crash and when we are down in a trough people seem to forget we also always rise. Restructure, resharpen, rementalize and be ready for the quickening!

Things are looking up somewhat, but it's still very tough times, especially for small businesses and even more especially for the retail trade. The property fall has really hurt the average family with hundreds of thousands in negative equity and no way of ever getting out in the near future. I have many friends who were badly burnt by buying property at the wrong time. By luck, and not foresight, I escaped the worst, but there is still more financial pain to come before we'll return to the heady days of 2000 - 2006 - if ever! Still, there's no war, no famine, no natural disasters, life could be monumentally worse and Ireland needs to remember that as well.

Only slightly. More skill than your closest neighbours as we proved some weeks ago. That said, I wish you well this weekend. NZ won't be a fun place to be if the French pull off a miracle...

No my friend, I am dead serious about the Allblacks. I used to live in Kelburn, Wellington and to me there is only one rugby team. I get a lot of sh1t for it when in Zimbabwe since they are all Springbok fans, but I stand tall like a Maori warrior.

Fair play to you. I can hardly recite the Irish national anthem, much less spell all the words (and with an Irish teacher as a wife... )

I do hope the All Blacks take the cup this weekend. They are by far the most deserving team of the tournament. Let's hope it doesn't come down to a place kicking competition though...

Hey Capo, our ship team had the pleasure (and pain) of playing the All Blacks 4th or 5th string in a game of Hong Kong Sevens when I was living in the UK. After that, we got to watch them wipe the pitch with the Royal Navy team. What an incredible time.

Big fan here!

I'm impressed!!

Probably the best haka ever on the attached clip. It's the other version Kapa o Pango, not Ka Mate.

Thanks for all the good wishes...god I hope we win. If we don't, Monday morning in NZ will be a sad, sad place!
