Default Need some help on this 2006 575 HGTC

Hello.
My name is David and I have been looking for a 575 for quite some time now. After some reading (thank you, Taz) I made up my mind on one of the latest ones preferrably with the handling package already fitted.
I came across a beautiful car from 2006, one of the latest, factory fitted GTC handling pack, finished in rosso scuderia on nero with bacquets.
After some negotiation (it's a Ferrari dealer and the car is being sold with a Ferrari Approved seal) I found some issues that are scaring me off a little bit and I would like to know if these are normal issues.
On the pictures you can see a bolt on the driver's door hinge which I haven't seen before in any Maranello (actually I only checked on 3 different 550s, but I suppose it's quite similar).
Just check the pictures and the markings and let me know your comments, please.
Regards!

David- There are no 2006 575Ms, HGTC or not. Production stopped in late spring of 2005. The car may not have been registered until 2006. Looks like the leather has shrunk a bit, but removing those panels and treating with Leatherique and a bit of stretching may fix you up. The instrument pod may just be poorly fitted. I have seen that on a couple of 575Ms and refitting usually eliminates any gaps. Have the dealer fix the problems as a condition of sale. Shrinking leather usually shows at the front of the dash, and the dash is the biggest pain to repair, since it takes around 8 hours to remove and replace.

I will look at my car a little later today and see if I have any red paint showing around the door panels. If I do, it has not bothered me. It may be normal.

I looked. The entire door frame forward of the leather door panel and the inner doors should be painted black. The hinge bolt is OEM Ferrari. Probably added because 550 door hinges had a bad habit of ripping the door panel metal and had to be rewelded.

agree the dealer should present that example well: he should fix and stand behind it....the only chance not happening [but a good dealer will ignore such] is a consignment piece. Dealer represents the mfgr, and that is lacking.

Makes me wonder on what I don't see.

Hello, Taz.
Yes, the car is listed as 2006 car, but I am aware they weren't produced until 2006. I believe this is one of the last ones being produced.
The leather shrinking is not an issue for me. What scared me the most were the fails found in that area, from the A pillar mount to the bolt that I couldn't see in the 550s (and which I think is terrible finishing quality for a car like this) and the painting. All these together got me thinking that the car could have been involved in an accident, which they tell me was not the case. However I do remember that issue with the 550 door hinges and I also considered it was a reinforcemente introduced for the 575.
I am meeting a friend later today to see his 2002 575 in order to see if he too has that bolt, but since you have it in yours Iit's cool by me.
By the way and since we're at it, is there any way of painting the car in a different color having the approval from Ferrari? By approval I mean having it registered in their files and having the sticker with the color updated? I believe that severeal Ferrari Classiche clients have changed their car's colors. The car is Rosso Scuderia, which is rare for a 575, and I like it, but I was just wondering if it would be possible.
Thanks again, Taz.

David- You can buy the paint stickers if you change to one of the standard paint colors, but there is no way to change the build sheet, which shows the color of everything originally delivered with the car. See mine below. I am of the opinion all this "no paintwork" business is way overdone. If you want to repaint, go for it. The next owner can always return it to its original color. See "My First Ferrari" in the vintage section. That Zagato SWB has been five colors over its lifetime and nobody cares.

Rosso Scuderia is actually a very pretty color, and a replacement for Rosso Dino of the 60s and early 70s, except a bit more red and less orange. My Dino 246 GT was Rosso Dino and I really liked the color. Rosso Scuderia was not introduced until late Summer 03 for US MY 04, so is very rare on Maranellos and usually seen on Challenge Stradales. Ferrari also introduced availability of Rosso Scuderia brake calipers at the same time.

David my .02

Buy it drive it and enjoy it - down the road if the color bothers you and you don't care about resale paint it as it will most likely need some touch ups after some real driving.

The car looks great and it's one heck of a car - trust me after you wake up and see it in your garage ... you are going to post how you love it and the color
