Where did you get them

Are they chromed?

I bought a used banged up 19 modular on ebay and had it reconditioned but the barrel seal with the wheel (Two piece wheel) wont make an airtight seal. The wheel guy is having a very dificult time finding a new barrel. Any suggestions?

There is no "seal" for air between the barrel and the center section of the wheel on a 19" modular. All the air is sealed within the barrel of the wheel and the tire. There is a machined contact surface between the center section and the barrel.
On the barrel there is an inner machined boss that the center section sets into, the twenty screws go through the center section and into the boss on the barrel.
Possibly the barrel and the tire are not making a good seal?
Just trying to help understand problem so possibly someone can help.

The leak was between the two metal parts.

I am not sure if they take the two pieces apart but the wheel restorer said that there was not enough material to mate up the two parts together after the machining process.

Who knows? Maybe they damaged the machined boss on the barrell?

Thanks

SA- What Bill was saying is there is no pressurized air where the two pieces of the wheel meet, so that cannot be causing a leak. All the pressurized air is contained in the one piece barrel/hoop. A new tire valve would be the next thing I would try.

Bill- Great looking wheels. Will dress up your car.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words

It took alot of soapy water sprayed all around to notice the actual source of the leak

SA- Whoo, looks like I was full of crap. Plus the valve is in the bolt on section, too. Should have looked.

Guys, the only thing that can be happening here is that there must be a pin hole or crack through the barrel in some way at that point. Taz, the tire valve goes into the boss and through to the inner barrel where the sensor resides.
Air does not travel around behind that boss where the machined surface is.
Pictures are good and show the boss behind where the center section mounts. I have had these apart and in my hands.

Bill

The $64,000 question-- where did you get the modulars.

Ricambi at a discounted price wants $3,700 for a front 19 " modular.

If the wheel restorer can't find a replacement barrell I will get a 550 18" to use as an temporary spare.

Bill- OK, I am not full of crap. I am so confused. I have found about 2 or 3 loose wheels for folks, but it is hit and miss on E-Bay and other locations.

SA- Try these guys. They have used wheels for sale and advertise Superamerica wheels for less than $1K.

Wheel Collision Center FERRARI F430 SPIDER 456M 550 BARCHETTA CONVERTIBLE MARANELLO 575M SUPERAMERICA 599 GTB FIORANO 612 TESTAROSSA CALIFORNIA Alloy Wheels OEM OE Original Factory Ferrari Aluminum Wheels Philadelphia PA NJ NY MD DE CT VA MA OH DC NC

Also, I would buy a valve repair kit for less than $10 and replace all the seals on that valve. Worth a try. This kit fits all Beru TPMS tire valves.
