Default 2001 550 Maranello On Offer

On offer from Mike Sheehan...

We are pleased to offer 2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello s/n 125764. This very late model 550 is well optioned, fully serviced and in truly no excuses "near-new"condition. Inquire for a copy of the pre-purchase inspection. The body, paint and interior are in excellent condition and this 550 has already gone through a detailed pre-purchase inspection and SD2 inspection with excellent compression and leakdown! Priced right at $94,950.

Finished in a very attractive and desirable Rosso Corsa 322 D.S. with black leather power Daytona seats. Nicely loaded from new with Scuderia fender shields, power Daytona seats, and silver calipers. Has a Tubi exhaust for the great V-12 sound.

Introduced in 1996 as the flagship of the Ferrari line, the Maranello recaptures the glory days of Ferrari's legendary front-engined sports cars. It offers simply staggering performance from its 485 hp 5,474 cc V12, with a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 199 mph, just touching the magic 200 mph mark!

This very late USA model 550 Maranello s/n 125764 is complete with the factory leather pouch, with all owners books, warranty cards and service records, the full tools set and leather case, the factory car cover and the spare-in-a-can. The car has just completed a full fluid service and pre-purchase inspection, total invoice $1,722.71. Only 14,430 miles. This well optioned and fully serviced Ferrari is in truly "near-new"condition with no excuses.

The back-side of the car is very agressive, a wonderful aspect. Also love how the interior tunnel ends in a radius versus a squared-off design...

I think Rossa Corsa/Nero is absolutely the wrong combination for the 550/575. But it is also the most prevalent, so I'm in a minority.

You think $95k is too much for this car?

In blue it would be worth it, LOL.

Seriously, I do think it's a bit high for the US market (about 10k). But what I have learnt is that hunting price is a mistake and paying a little extra for the right car is certainly a much better strategy. I did that with my 550 and was handsomely rewarded with reliability (not to mention drop-dead gorgeousness...).
