Hi guys, this morning i was on the dyno with my 550 Maranello. The resultat are 545,4 Nm (couple) and (331,4 kw) 450,6 Ps (you must convert on hp). So my car is missing near 35 Ps. That's not a great result. What can i do to recuperate this missing power? Somebody has an idea? Thanks in advance, |

I had the idea that perhaps the "RAM-AIR" in front hadn't received enough air from the fan on the dyno and so the power decreased.

Many thngs can affect dyno results such as dirty air filters, worn tires, state of tune, incorrectly gapped spark plugs, grade of gasoline, etc. I would not worry about such a small difference. |

| So you have 450 HP instead of 485, it isn't really going to make that much difference to performance is it? My 1984 308 QV left the factory with only 240 HP, I doubt it's even got 200 horses now, but it doesn't stop me enjoying it and loving it.

Now seriously, I understand that dyno runs can give you different readings every time you start rolling the rolls, and as better explained by Gcalo, various factors may influence the readings. Personally, I wouldn't care. ... racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting... (Steve McQueen / Le Mans) Last edited by agp22; 06-19-2010 at 03:29 PM.
