William- Too bad the wheels were sold. Many people planned Eldorado Canyon, but the leader was Arnie Franklin. I was in an F-111 test squadron when the raid was flown, so missed it, but did fly in Desert Storm for 20 combat sorties.

Will keep my eye peeled for wheels for you.

Hey sir! Thanks for the info, the wheels on Ferrari chat were already sold. Let me know if you come across anything else. That's a gorgeous 575. I see you flew the 111. I fly for the airlines and flew with a fellow that says he planned the lybian raid. I wish I could remember his name. Currently I'm over in the middle east flying apache helicopters. I haven't even had the chance to drive the 355 yet. Anyhow, good to meet you and thanks for the help. William

Doug- They are Novitec NF2s, 9x19 F and 12.5x19 R, and they fit the 360, too. They even make a center lock version, the NF1, for the 360. I bought a set of the center locks and tried to adapt them to my 575, but no dice. They only fit 360s and F430s.

If you like that style of wheels, consider a set of OEM F430 wheels, which are very similar and fit perfectly. Maybe for your next set of tires.

    Taz,
Thank you for your advice. I have much to ponder now, as my local exotic tire specialist (Eurotire of Fairfield, NJ) has just located a complete set of P-Zero System which aren't cheap but they are one of the originally specified tires. I didn't know he was going to be able to get them (something about a manufacturer backorder with no date in site) until after I sent you my request for help. So, I will now ponder exactly what to do over a beer or three.
BTW, I really like your 5 spoke wheels much better than my OEMs. What are they?

    Have a great weekend,
    Doug

Doug- Boy are you set. There are Michelin Supersports available for your car. That is the latest from Michelin and the sizes you need are affordable. Another choice is the Michelin PS2 Zero Pressures, used on the Corvette ZR1, if you worry about flats.

I would choose the Michelin Super Sports 245/40 18 for the fronts and 265/40 18 in the rear. Bigger front and slightly smaller rears will tend to make the car a little more neutral steering and get rid of the built in understeer in the OEM sizes.

Alternatively, the Michelin PS2 Zero Pressures in sizes 245/40 18 front and 275/40 rear. No worries about flats and almost as good as the Super Sports, but a bit more expensive.

Yell if you have any questions and you can check my choices on tirerack.com. Your car's original 215/45 front tires are 25.6" in diameter and the 275/40 18s are 26.7" in diameter. The sizes I chose will fit your wheels and will not affect your ABS system. I wish they had the Super Sports to fit my car.

Doug- Not to worry. Recommendations coming by tonight. Wheels and tires are nicely finite problems.

Taz or Terry, makes no difference. Taz was my callsign in the AF.

    Taz? Terry?,
Thanks for checking. Yes, I have the OEM 18" wheels. And this is the first time I'm faced with changing tires on any high performance machine so I don't know squat.

    Appreciate your input,

Doug- Let me check. I thought the P Zero Rossos were still available, but would actually rather have PS2s or the new Super Sports. Will check sizes. Assume you still have the OEM 18" wheels?

I was told you are something of a tire expert. Well, here goes:
I'm looking to replace my tires and the original Michelins are no longer made.

The Pirelli P Zero Nero are available and are a-symetrical all around. This differs from Ferrari's original offering of the P Zero "System" which is symetrical fronts, a-symetrical rears.

Not sure if this is a good idea or bad. Another possibility is the new Michelin Pilot Sport 2's. But, these are 3/4" wider than the original and I'm afraid they will rub on the fenders (which are already bent from the original Pilot Sports.

    Any advice?

    Thanks very much in advance,

Kevin- I have no access to any Ferrari official sources, but if you call the service manager at FOA, I am sure they can provide the records and also possibly a copy of the window sticker. Your dealeship in FL should also be able to print a build sheet for you.

Glad you found the car you were seeking.
