So no, I don't think the idea is crazy, but I would advise you to consider other alternatives before you settle on the 355. Namely, the 550/575. At the moment, they are the most undervalued F-cars on the planet. I don't know anyone that understands why, but they are currently selling for 360 money!

Because the 550 engines are bullet-proof, their maintenance costs should beat the 355! And how do you beat 12 cylinders?!

Killer I wanted to write a Thank you note for the info you got me before i got the car.
I got a f430 i was afreid of the 355 with all the cost involbe to keep it going so i jump into the 430 I am in love with the looks of the 355 but i just wanted to have lest maintaing to do and i read that the engine and trany is about 40% better in the 430
I got the car in florida and drove it home a 1000 miles with my 12 year old son cyrano.
He was in love with the car like i was.
My girlfriend was mad as crazy because i took him insted of her I just wanted to reapet what my papa did for me when i was 10.
