I 'chatted' about Ferraris with some of you on another forum, and then I lurked here for several months, so I thought I should finally introduce myself.

I am a lifelong car enthusiast living in St. Louis. While my primary passion is German cars, I love everything about Ferrari as well. Ownership is a bit of a long-term dream at this point with two small children and some other major goals on the horizon, but I just enjoy talking about and learning more about those special cars from Maranello with like-minded owners and enthusiasts.

Nothing wrong with German cars. My first car was a 356A and I have owned three other Porsches and my wife has a GL 550. GL 550 made in Alabama with mostly German parts.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Terry, I may not get to sleep if I start perusing that database around bedtime.

Granucci, I see you have the best of both worlds- a V12 and a V8. The Mondial is on my bucket list (as is the 308 GT4) because I like the idea of hauling the kids around with the engine roaring right behind their ears. It should cut down on the "Are we there yet?" queries, or at least my ability to hear them.

Barry, I know what you mean, as it would be all too tempting for me to let a fun car sidetrack me from other goals.

Doug, I'm sure I've seen you around and didn't realize it, because I know I've seen your cars at local events. I've always loved the 612 Scaglietti (see previous comments about my love for 4-seat Ferraris), but you must really have a smile glued to your face with the 16M. Enjoy!
