Default Hello from a fellow car enthusiast

Hello everyone,
I am new here to Ferrari Life, obviously. A little bit about myself: I have been an auto enthusiast ever since I was a young kid. I'll be honest though and say that I've never really been a fan of Ferrari, and currently do not own any. However, I have recently been drawn towards them more and more. So I figured where better to come than here to get some information and advice before buying. Hope to have some great discussions with everyone.

Welcome: Can you tell me more about what may have attracted you to Ferrari? Which makers do you gravitate towards?

Welcome to the Ferrari Life group! Be careful with that attraction, it snagged me a dozen years ago.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcoming. I guess I could say my attraction to Ferrari began when I first saw a 599 a few years back, it just looked like a stunning car. The 458 also caught my eye when it was revealed, however I never really looked into either one as a possible purchase. The big change came about a month ago when I was visiting a good friend of mine who now lives on the west coast (myself being from the east) of the states. He has a beautiful 458 that he took delivery of last year and has been trying to convince me ever since that I may really enjoy the car. Well he gave me the opportunity to drive it and all I can say is wow. It is one of the few cars in a while that has given me that indescribable feeling while driving. That was when I first had the thought that I may be owning a Ferrari sometime soon. Up to this point my cars have been mostly European in general, with a few exceptions. I have always been a BMW fan, as my first sports car was an M3 which I enjoyed very much. 911's are another favorite, the rest of the Porsche line doesn't really do it for me. I also enjoy Corvettes, although their approach to a sports car tends to be more so brute force than overall refinement like a Ferrari. And I also like Lamborghinis quite a bit, yes I understand the history but we can all get along, right?

Here be car nuts.

European cars certainly have an appeal to them and I suspect amongst them the Italians reign supreme in terms of artistic expression.

I am sure that Porsche BMW Mercedes Audi are as good and solid as you will get all of them having produced highly drivable performance cars it is just that Ferrari and Lambo do it so much more flamboyantly.

Welcome and it is good to have you with us.

Welcome to Ferrari Life, certainly start reading some of the replies in the PPI section to get an idea on getting your feet wet, then go out and get that dream car!
