Default Lost fuel cap

I almost forgot,
Last week I inadvertendly left my fuel cap at a gas station and someone took it and did not return it to the gas station attendant.
Please help me to find an original replacement. You will be my hero for a very long time.
Please look at the picture, maybe you can help
Thank you much

Albert- I was going to say I had a spare one, until I looked at the one you need, and mine is not even close. Good luck on finding one. What models used the same gas cap?

You might contact Tom Shaughnessy, although I see he has shut down his Vintage Ferrari Parts business. The other possibility is Maranello out of the UK and their vintage parts business.

Try Daniel at Ricambi first, naturally.

Eurospares in the UK worth a look too. I got mine from them when I left it behind at a petrol station in northern France and discovered it was missing about 500 miles down the road. Was for a 360 though, so much easier to source.

Barry- We have had some strange things coming out of Eurospares lately, so I am afraid to recommend them. In one case someone ordered a handling package steering ECU and they marked a normal one with the package part number after scratching out the original part number. Not kosher for a $600 part.

Not good Terry. I've only ever used them a couple of times for minor parts and had no problems, but that certainly doesn't sound reassuring.

Thank you for your reply. I tried all you mentioned. No luck so far. I even found the original manufacturer in Bologna, Italy. No reply so far after 2 requests.
I know I will find it....patience though

Ricambia and T.Rutlands are both good options. I've had the pleasure of working with both via this site for a few years now.

The detailer I used ordered a replacement for me from the factory and I think it only cost $70 plus shipping. It was for my TR about five years ago. One of his employees wanted it and of course, he lost his job. He goot caught on film and apparently sold it on E-Bay.

Which comes to mind: E-Bay should have a "items wanted" RSS subscription for hard to find items such as this - and if they don't, I think it's a fabulous idea that hey should adopt.

I suspect FB may get into the online auction biz BTW. Stay tuned.

Thank you 348 Jeff. By checking the pictures this car has a generic fuel cap lock, not the original like I had.
