Default Hello from Louisiana

Hello everyone. Been a member a while but spending more time here recently for some reason - guess it took me a while to see the light.
I live in Lafayette, LA, married, 2 kids, one a junior in college, the other a soph. in high school. I've been driving my first F-car about 6 months - '08 430 spider, Avio blue. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Welcome to FL Rodney...

Show us a few pics of your Avio blue - not sure I know what colour that is.

Thanks all.
Terry, don't know if you remember the Clovis connection? You're one of the reasons I made it over here.
Glad to post some pics - where's the best place to post them? Not sure how much traffic the newbie intro. sections gets?

Welcome Rodney - are the crawfish decent size this year?

We have a couple of places here in Houston that claim to be Cajun seafood restaurants, but they're pretty mediocre compared to what you have. I lived in Lafayette for 15 years and have the 10 extra pounds to prove it.

Again, welcome to FLife.

High mileage, low compression, and missing on a few cylinders.....just like my cars.

Welcome aboard Rodney. Just jump in anywhere. I'd suggest the 430 section for your car pix.

Rodney- Thought your name sounded familiar. Now I know why. Here on FL, most of us use the new posts button, and the member intros draw lots of attention, so you can post your photos here or in the modern V8 section and we will all see them.

Look forward to seeing them and great seeing you here.

Hey John-
No fresh crawfish til spring I think. I'm not a native, but have been in LA for almost 20 years so it's home now. Less than one lb/year living in Lafayette isn't so bad - plenty of great food here for certain.

Welcome to FLife

Rodney post your pictures wherever you want - just post em

I have a few friends in your neck of the woods - tried to get my son into Tulane but failed - even after the required rear quarter kissing and summer school prep in NOLA.

Do I sound like a scorned Father or what

Doug-
I understand about Tulane - having lived in N.O. for 5 years and working at Charity Hospital, I was actually relieved my daughter didn't want to try to get in Tulane. It's a great school, but N.O. was a scary place in the 90's. I guess it's a little safer post-Katrina.
Thanks for the welcome.

My daughter is at DU and son ended up at Ole Miss.

Tulane is still a lil rough around the edges - I think my son actually liked that part.

I went to school at UT so there was a big group of NOLA guys that I keep in touch with.

One of the best cities to visit for a weekend getaway.

Welcome to FerrariLife.

I looked at a Avio blue 430 Scud a couple of weeks ago. Great color.

Thanks, I like it although I know it's not for everyone. Funny, the only Avio I had seen before this car was also on a Scud - not many made apparently.
