Sorry for the punny title. As encouraged, here's me - remortgaged my flat in 1988 to buy my 308 and 23 years on I still love the look of it and as long as the battery has had the conditioner connected, turn the ignition on, let the fuel pumps get the fuel through, press the throttle three times turn the key and it always starts first time, even if it has been inaccessible for months on end. Four carbs which haven't been touched for years and were properly set up by a guy who really knows his stuff, who needs fuel injection? More on the car, dry sump and other than the Compomotive split rims, the only change from standard was to fit a four outlet exhaust (ANSA?) to replace the single one at the same time as the paint was being done, as it was easy then to fill the single pipe cut out in the rear valance. I've also got a 1966 Alfa GTC which needed a lot of work doing on it and a variety of other cars I've collected along the way, the joy of not having kids! Thanks for the welcome and the positive comments about the car from Japan, Ireland and the UK - it was the first classic I bought and is still very special. |

Alvis- Welcome and looking forward to seeing photos of your 308. There are some pretty wild 308 mods being done here, so enjoy yourself reading about the art of the possible.

| The ultimate in modified carb 308s has to be Vitalone's 308 GTB Michalone.

| Hi Boxer, I'll aim to, not too far for me, a nice run along the Henley to Marlow road and cut down from Wooburn from memory. I always thought the 308 would be outshone by the more exotic visitors to the event and not really welcome, assume it is the one promoted on PH? |

Nice pics Alvis. Was the cat the reason for the respray? Barry Ferrari's: 360 Modena F1, 308 GT4 Other Italians: Ducati 916, Ducati 848 DD's: RR Sport, BMW 645ci, BMW 1200GS Adv. |
