Hello all, My name is Anders, living on the west coast of Sweden. The Volvo country. Civil engineer and have been working in the veihicle engineering industry all my life. Have started and run two engineering companies in that field, so I am used to CAD/Catia, laser scanning, rapid prototyping etc. Have sold the companies and retierd early. Now working as part time as advicer for some companies and for the Swedish Supplier Organisation - so I am still involved in whats going on in the field of development. When I was running the engineering companies I also hade prototype workshops inhouse. Workshops with Laser Scanners, Rapid Prototyping and skilld craftsmen. When they didn´t build what we hade designed and engineered for OEM, they build Special Veicles. Such as the Composite Ambulance for Volvo, stretched 6 door cars and cars for the Swedish Police. We even build a car for President Jeltzins bodyguards. Will tell you when I see you in a bar somewhere. I have had a lot of different sportscars and I am not particular interested in doing the service on them, but I am interested in every kind of modifications. Today I talk a lot in my profession, and going down to the workshop, doing some work on my cars - with my own hands gives me some real satisfaction. Today I have a 430 2008 with full Capristo and with a special silent Capristo muffler. All their insulation and brackets are fitted. Got tired of both Fabspeed and FC so I followed Stefvan here, hoping to take part in more knowledge and modifications. And hopfully being able to contribute with some ideas. All the best Anders T Anders T F430 2008 Black/Red. 993 1997 Black |

Welcome to FLife Your transfer in support of Stef speaks volumes of what Ferrari owners and enthusiasts are all about. Hope you enjoy it over here - so any pics of that place you call the workshop? With a resume like the one you posted it sure is tempting to meander to the bar you may frequent. 612 Nuvolari 16M Grigio Ferro |

Anders- Welcome, you will make a great addition here. Looks like you have quite a collection of flying model engines, too. Some of those look like they pulled very large models.

Hi my friend! You have no idea how happy I am to see you coming over here! Was missing you already since a while! Anders is a great guy, really. We've been doing together a lot of research and work, sometimes very late at night, going back in the garage to try out a new thing. Anders has a very high level of automotive and mechanical knowledge. I'm more in the ECU and electronics stuff what makes us quite complementary .I've made huge progress on the progressive shift light. The Can bus interface is almost ready but I had to buy a new oscilloscope as I burned out the other one (spend too many hours on it hahaha). Anyway, it was the opportunity to switch from an analogue to digital oscilloscope. With this new toy, I'll be able to make real progress especially with high rate Can bus interfaces. Talk to you soon and enjoy your stay here, Stef PS : my dream is to have such a garage which is more a real workshop! Impressive! Last edited by StefVan; 11-05-2011 at 11:54 AM. Reason: spelling |

Sorry - I forgot 4 things. When taking decisions, real hard ones. Like buying a F-car or not. I have a method of doing this. You just sit down and ask yourself: 1. Do I realy want this? 2. Can I afford it? 3. Is it ever getting cheaper? 4. Am I ever getting younger? After that you know exactly what to do. Anders T F430 2008 Black/Red. 993 1997 Black |

That is a great, great cellar Anders, everything is so well organized, all those tools on the walls, clean floor, on and on. Even tho I have no talent there, that is one cellar I would luv to spend much of the time. Very nice. Glad to see that you also seem to like 993 ? As you can see, I am very fond of Porsches also. It would be great if you can start a new thread on Porsches so that we can learn new thoughts from you, Anders. Thanx. w/ smiles Jimmy |
