Hello all

My name is Andy, I live in Zurich and I switched over from F-Chat as I do appreciate open discussions and indepedency from sponsors. Above all I would not want to miss Stefvan's posts with all the expertise he contributes. And no, I'm not related to Capristo nor do I know Stef personally...;-)

While I'm not the most active poster I really do appreciate these forums with the wealth of knowledge they represent.

My Ferrari life began in 2004 with a 355 Spider manual, Argento Nürburgring, beautiful car and a million times more reliable than the TVR that I owned before... Then I switched to a 360 Spider F1, again in Argento; even though I liked the aestethics of the car I never really bonded to it. The F1 felt sluggish and unpolished, the brakes were unpredictable and the sound was to metallic for my taste. One year ago I upgraded to a 430 Spider F1 and couldn't be happier. it's Grigio Silverstone with Cuoio leather, CCB, Racing seats and Carbon interior. Even though in my heart I would love to do heel and toe I'm quite happy with the F1, it's quick, refined and you can scare people in tunnels with blips on the downshifts...;-) The e-diff gives phenomenal traction out of twisties and the sound is absolutely to my taste.

Much to my disgrace I don't have any nice pictures of the car even after a year of ownership, but then again it's hard to stop to take pictures once you're out driving it...;-)

Your car looks stunning! Very nice choice you made. I jumped straight from the 355 to the 430. My experience with the 355 was rather a nightmare and I had many many issues with it. I believe I had a bad number. Finaly, the engine died when it lost one of the 8 cylinders (0 compression). I had the chance to get a manual F430, something I was researching since quite a while and this car has proven to be bullet proof.
