Hey guys, thanks for the welcome! I'll post pictures later. My story is a bit of a long one as there have been many ups and downs, but all up now! The best advice I could give is buy the best example you can. Since these cars aren't demanding high prices you can get a very good one for 30 - 40, and decent ones for mid twenties. Don't do what I did and buy for 15 unless your planning on spending lots of money. As to what happened with me is I bought for 15 and by the time I'm done Ill be close to 100. Sounds crazy but eventually this will be a fully restored car. There have been allot of lessons learned, and i'm not upset but it has resulted in legal action against one shop not to be named. Thankfully I'm now with a shop that is beyond amazing. I am doing what I can myself, but the reality is I can't do everything. I can't get into to much information as to exactly has been done as previously mentioned, but basically; fully rebuilt engine partially rebuilt gear box new interior, but it was a cheapo job and I'm hunting the world for the original beige velour & vinyl, so it's going to be fully redone. The body will receive a tear down paint and bodywork next year, it's currently resale red, the orignal colour is Dino Blu and will probably go back to that. The electrical was all sorted out, I did install Birdman's fuse box but I am removing it and going back to the new original the AC is in and running R12 (I have lots of the good stuff if any one in Toronto needs any) Cooling system is working perfectly This winter the full suspension, steering and brakes are being done. The trunk needs new carpets, I have a bunch of that and will also be doing that. Got QV 16" rims, and they are being refinished. The Euro cars did have this as an option, but I think it was only at series 2 that they began to offer it, I could be wrong. So basically the car drives like mad except for the suspension. Absolutley no smoke or oil drips. It's tight and runs like hell. I have gotten many compliments on the engine and it's sound. Oh yeah also re did the engine bay. I guess I would also add to my advice is get an early euro for the high cams, no smog and euro styling. I'm not a fan of the Us large bumers. The series 2 AC is better with the added vents as well. That's it for now, my kid needs her diaper changing ![]() Fave |

The first ride I ever had in a Ferrari was in a 308 GT4. I've wanted one ever since. Will be waiting for the next installment of your saga Fave!
