Hello Ferrari Life

The name Ferrari Life says it all vs F-chat.

I purchased my 612 a few years ago and stumbled across f-chat.

Met a ton of great guys but that place / chat is not for me.

Ok so I catch on slowly ...

A core group of guys typing +1 and kissing up to the Ole Boys Club along with the behind the scenes games isn't where I want to spend my time.

Some great guys and gals and hope to see some here soon - HINT

I wouldn't mind a few of them staying and playing duck duck hunt the goose!

Bottom line this is the place I should have invested my time in and I look forward to getting to know the gang.

Cheers to Ferrari Life!

Welcome to FL, chanpagne612. As I mentioned in the other thread, spendid wheels of assortment you own. Needless to say, this 612 looks immaculate, especially with the special package. Such an elegant car. Never drove one myself so I cannot say much on that, but seeing it in person, I was impressed how large the car appeared. Probably in the settings and the wide roads in the States, this size is just right. Looking forward to your comments and stories. w/ smiles Jimmy

I had no idea this section existed but once I found it - just had to lay it out one more time.

If I can not find some videos as soon as I get to the office on Monday I can add some - the car is a nimble beast

The guy doing the video was wrong as it's an HGTC.

Someone sent me the video over a year later asking me if it was my car - small world. Turned out a young man who I hope joins us here shot the video and is a great spotter of cars.

I added the 599 wheels and rear OTO screens to update the look and opened up the valves to get a nice sound at low rpm.

The car is fast and the steering is light and quick. The 599 upgrade of tires n wheels helped take out the oversteer. I have only been to two track days but felt more than comfortable letting it run. The maintenance is bullet proof and for the other owners the brakes are the same on a Subaru and at 12,000 miles they are still original and the clutch is at 84%.

I love the mechanics of the FF but hate the idea they ruined the roof line to make the rear passengers access easier and more comfortable.

The 612 has carried adults comfortably with no issues whatsoever.

Gone back n forth on selling my car but until I find the right 16M it's staying and even then I may sell my RR and make the 612 a daily driver.

Currently renovating a house that is killing my car and every other budget

Next June I would love to host a Ferrari Life Party if we could get a group together.

It's an upgraded suspension 19" sport wheels more rubber a sportier exhaust and quicker F1 - I believe the package ran 30k.

Much appreciated - as long as you offered.

The F1 has been slipping out of gear when I go from 3-4 and 4-3 it's been gong on for a month or so but it's now acting up in 2-3 taking it in tomorrow and I assume there is a glitch in the software.

Thoughts?

I plan on it!

Re the admin on STL C&C - thanks for the offer, but I am not active with the group enough for that to be reasonable. I don't know anyone on it and rarely get the opportunity to go to the meets, but hopefully will get to soon.

Doug--

Sorry to hear about all of the issues at fchat. I am not very active there, but have noticed the old boy club bs that you refer to.

Although the thread was deleted, I am pretty sure I lost a wager to you on the Cubs/Cards series. I am embarrassed to say I don't recall the stakes other than they were modest.

Same name over there.

Thanks Chet

I recall the bet - it wasn't really a fair bet to begin with

Give this place a shot and we will call it even ...

I appreciate you making the effort to post and understanding why I could not handle the place any longer.

Next summer I am planning on three things!

1. Throwing a monster party for the European Car Show
2. Reserving a box for all my out of town guests for the Cards / Cubs rivalry.
3. Making sure all the passed out party animals have a place to crash with no dust.

Feel free to come on down and take a tour ... and since my threads were deleted here is a reminder where you will be celebrating - oh and please wear that Cub's jersey
