Hello all Well,, I am new here and hope some can help me out. I do seek, dream, DREAM, of a ferrari and at the same time use it, not just have it in my garage. I have had some Porsches and BMW, but still dreaming of a Ferrari. I have been told that a Ferrari is super expensive to run and to keep service and so one, is that so? Quality VERY poor? Really? Well, I will post more questions later |

First, let me say welcome to Ferrari Life, dino viking! Each new quarter of a million dollar Ferrari carries a 2-year, unlimited mileage warranty. If quality were poor, that would get expensive quickly, and I have never heard of Ferrari quality being poor..quite the opposite, really. And yes, Ferraris do cost money to maintain. Parts are expensive, mechanics are expensive, and some models require expensive engine-outs for routine maintenance. Scheduled maintenance is required regardless of driving the car or staring at it in your garage. It isn't a mileage thing. This is why choosing the right car and right mechanic is so important. I suggest you find a Ferrari service shop near you, then talk with the mechanics there. They can steer you toward a car-choice that will fit your budget. I hope that answers some of your questions, and feel free to roam FL discussion groups and join in with constructive dialog.

I'd say that's how many of us got started. If you decide on a particular car or model, you could go to that section here on FerrariLife and ask the owners more about them. Have fun in your search _________________________ 1983 Euro 308 GTBi QV red/black s/n 44151 |

Do your homework, make sure you know what you want before you make your choice as they are all extremely different. Last but not least if you are planning on buying one and hoping nothing will happen to it because of expense then you are looking at the wrong cars. If you can not afford to fix any sort of major failure then you should not look at Ferrari. Some times you will be lucky in an easy fix but most time it wont be cheap. I don't mean to scare you I just want you to realize that these cars can be expensive to operate. Night life........ain't a good life........but it's my life -- Willy Nelson |

Hello and thanks all Well, yes, one have to be ready for the expense of a visit to the local garage..........Be it a ferrari or a BMW. When I got my first BMW, I was told that a BMW is solid like a tank and no need to worry........right..........NOT so for me......lost of $$$$$$$ out the window, but I did learn a lot to. Have to be ready for the service cost. That is why I am asking here now about the service cost on a M456 and a 550.To be ready. HAve a good day all |
