Greetings to the community.

I am here at the instistence of F/chat as the most famous build in the world moved its home here in the recent past and being an avid follower of the build........I followed.

I own a 1995 F355B (2.7)Rosso Corsa/Nero with a challenge exhaust big brake conversion (355mm) RHD and live in South Africa.

I have had the car for some 8 years and it is my third F car with the previous 2 being a Mondial t convertible and a Mondial 308qv convertible.

I am relatively handy with a set of tools so do the bulk of the work on my cars and only go to agents when there is absolutely no way out and then I land up regreting it.

welcome : The 12 conversion thread is cool. Did you do your own tuneups with the Mondial T and 355?

Yes to both questions.
I found that Fcars are simple to work on and no more complex then a multi valve BMW engine although somewhat more challenging in some aspects. The internet is a big help in as much as it has debunked the myth that only a F technician can work on the cars only after he has been trained for 100 years at Maranello
A driving factor was the unreasonably high labour costs here in South Africa and the lack of attention to detail.

As to the coolness factor on the V12 conversion astounding comes to mind.
Astounding in its concept
Astounding in its complexity
Astounding in its execution
Astounding!
