Default Hello all - Owner here

Hello folks!!

PDG here - I am the current owner of '85 308 GTS QV #58027. I got the car last summer and registered here and guess I got distracted with other RL stuff. Anyway, I am driving the car quite regularly lately with the nice weather we have. So far I have put about 3200 miles on it since the tag end of last July when I picked it up.

Welcomend congrats on your purchase!

Glad to hear you are driving it. I see an awful lot of beautiful cars collecting dust.

I started this thread, and then kind of disappeared for a while. Photos should be forthcoming later today. I got pulled into other directions and just never returned after making my initial posts here last year.

Anyway, glad to be back!!

A bit more information about #58027. And if anyone has further information please let me know. I would LOVE to learn more about the history of my car.

The car was listed for sale in California in early 1986. Records I have don't pick up until 1998 when the car was located in Palatine, Ill. Lake Forest Sports Cars did some of the service work including a major to it in 1998. Then the car moved back out to California again where it belonged to Yoshi of YoShield, the producer of the best Scuderia Shields out there. This was his personal car. He kept it from around 2001 or so until he traded it to Motorcars International in 2009 for a black 355. I purchased the car from Motorcars International in Springfield, MO in June 2009, then I had them do a major service to it and picked it up in late July, 2009. The car had 63,8xx miles on it. As it sits today its at 69,500 miles roughly and I hope to pass 70,000 in the very near future. I use the car ALMOST as a daily driver since the weather is generally so nice down here in Georgia.

The car has six modifications that I am aware of from stock.

1. Drilled pedals
2. Chrome Shifter knob
3. Euro mirrors (I have the originals)
4. Scuderia Shields (YoShields of course)
5. High Flow Catalytic Converter
6. Tubi Exhaust

I think the car is just about perfect. It is Metallic Black over a Creme interior. Cosmetically, the car has pretty good paint, but there are chips in the front clip. They arent big and most people dont notice them unless I point them out. The wheels are standard/stock 16in Cromadoras and has the full-size spare. Since I have had it the car I have only had to replace the Wehrle relay and just put in a rebuilt Warm Up Regulator. Hopefully, I wont have to do anything else to it for a while.

The car is almost subdued in a way, but that shape is a dead giveaway that its a true Ferrari. It definitely draws a crowd and people go nuts over it.
