Default Newbie to the site

Hi everyone, my names jacob.

Have been on the site for the past few weeks, and it has definitely been interesting. This is my first post and i basically just wanted to say hi to you all.

I am in the UK, in Cardiff. so if anyone else is around the area i would be delighted to know.

I drive a nero 550 maranello along with my two navy blue mercedes.
Currently looking for a classic to add along to the list. (possibly a 60's 911 or 912)

speak to you all soon.

Welcome, good to have another 5XX series owner here. Sorry you missed us on FLED 2.5 which was near you.

I'll try and get a picture of the car up later.
It's currently in the garage, unfortunately not heated, so it's freezing plus driving it back from the workshop the other day it's a bit dirty from the grit salt. I would be interested in the next fled especially since the 550 hasn't actually done that many miles just over 19,000.

On another topic I was wondering has anyone imported a car from the Netherlands to the Uk? as im thinking of getting a 911t either drive it back or ferry it.

Welcome. The 550 is one of my favs. Remember to keep a moisture evap of sorts in that garage as keeping the engine dry during your winters is not good on Ferraris.

Should be pretty straight forward. You will just need to get insurance coverage to drive on the Dutch plates. Take the EuroTunnel. Much more pleasant than the ferry.

Welcome to FL, enz898. Looking forward to the pics. By the way, any reason you are decided on the 911T ? Have you considered 911S instead ? I suppose it all depends on what you are after. w/ smiles Jimmy

hi, jimmy.

Good point, the 911t or 912 is going to be for my son. he's 19 and this being his first proper car, the 912 or 911t would be cheaper to insure and to buy than the 911s.

Excellent reasoning, and he is one, lucky son. Happy and safe driving. w/ smiles Jimmy

Agreed, lucky son. I tried to convince my wife we should buy a 308 for our son, for when he's 17. Problem being he's 5 now. I think she saw through it....

Jacob - make sure your pics are not too big. I used to think I could not upload pics too, but all i needed to do was resize them smaller....

Maybe your pictures are to big meaning reduce the memory or resolution.
