new owner 308gtsi

hello there i've just bought a 1982 308gtsi,in black.the car has been black from new,is in good to excellent condition and has 48000 miles on the clock .i'm very happy with the car and it is all i expected!i have already done 600 gentle miles with a view to bedding anything back in.i just have one problem.the car starts very eagerly when cold or indeed hot.but if you have a journey up to temperature ,then say stop for a couple of hours,ie:lukewarm]
the old girl just won't have any of it!this does'nt seem to make sense!though when it does this it has also usually been left on a slope.when not in my garage.any ideas would be appreciated!apart from that its had a full service,belts and a few other things on changeover from dealer.

I can't help with your technical issues, but I'm sure that someone on her can.

BTW - Where are you? US, Europe, Asia, Australia?

thanks for the warm welcome archie,i'm actually in north west england great roads and sometimes great weather!the roof has been off for the past 2weeks!pictures will have to wait untill i can access a broadband connection!

Did you buy the 308 from a dealer? I think I saw it advertised a few weeks ago. There aren't many black 308's around, so I always remember if I see one on the market.

Enjoy driving around with the top off, nothing beats it

You should PM Andrew or William Taylor and ask them to upgrade you to owner status so that you can register your car in the 308 registry and access some technical info in the owners section.
