Default New member in Mondial family

Hi,

I just bought today a 1984 Mondial QV with 70.000 Km and after riding it I just canīt believe how perfect can be a car.
Itīs absolutely marvelous and I hope to enjoy it until the end of times.
I have other classics but nothing can be compared to this piece of jewelery.
As soon as possible I'll post photos.
By teh way, does anyone have the user manual digitalized?

Best regards

Sorry I forgot to introduce myself.
My name is Eduardo, Iīm portuguese and I live in the North of Portugal, in a town called Vila Real. This town is well known for itīs emblematic eurepean urban circuits of the 1970īs.
Now we are restarting them and in the late two years there were wonderful home races.
So, the people here think speed.
I bought the Mondial in Oporto and Iīm waiting for a full revision of the mechanical parts. The former owner also has to change tyres (what a price for Michelin TRXīs here!!!).

Bye

congrats and that Mondial will be a lot easier to keep than most: the 3x8 engine is bit easier on the pocketbook.

While waiting for the pics, what combo in color.

Hi Gcalo,

Itīs really a difficult question you pose me.
Iīm also a Ducati fan and I donīt conceive any chance of having a Ducati rather than red.
It seems these brands, Ferrari and Ducati (and also Alfa Romeo) were made to be red. Itīs something thatīs related with their sportive history, itīs a "tiffosi" theme. May be also a relation with the colour itself, because red has allways been associated with racing. Look at the Formula 1, the most popular here in Europe, and in itīs history all factory Ferraris are red, except in the early beginning, when they were silver.
In conclusion, I donīt dislike other colours in Ferrari, but they donīt seem so sportive to me.

Regards

Don't worry, Eduardo, other colors will start looking interesting to you after you get over the "red" shock!!!

I have very much enjoyed driving though your area of Portugal. The roads through the Douro valley are stunning.

Itīs funny the coincidence because I live in The Douro area. Vila Real is 30Km far away from the Douro.
Next time you come here, just let me know and Iīll take for a wonderful ride through roads you donīt know.
And we will have a wonderful meal, of course.

Bye
