Irish Ferrari Owners meet, Lough Erne

This weekend's Irish FOC event at Lough Erne, Northern Ireland was a wonderful success. The weather stayed dry and bright for the entire weekend and a good time was had by all.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective!), I had a business meeting to attend in Cork on Saturday morning. So at 6 a.m. I left Dublin for the 250km drive to Cork in the 360. Meeting complete, I retraced my steps back to Dublin to collect my wife, and managed to shave quite some minutes off Google's estimated travel time. Navigator aboard it was time to chase the other Dublin based Ferrari's who had already departed Dublin bound for Lough Erne golf resort. Somewhere south of Cavan, and another couple of hundred km up the road we picked up a fast travelling Ferrari convoy and added one more F car to the pack.

Our final destination, the luxurious Lough Erne Golf and Spa resort, was reached shortly after lunch and we happily met up and exchanged tales with the Northern Ireland Ferrari contingent who had travelled in convoy from Belfast.

Pool, sauna, bar, dinner and bar (again!) before my days driving caught up with me and it was off to bed. This morning with breakfast providing the much needed soakage it was off to sample the delights of the 458 Italia, before an informal meeting to discuss the development of the club and the many different events planned for 2012. If even half of these events occur it 2012 will be a great year for Ferrari owners in Ireland!

The afternoon, saw a spirited drive home and a return to the real world. 36 hours, 1,000 km, sunshine, blue skies, empty roads, the ideal co-pilot and the company of many Ferrari enthusiasts in beautiful surroundings. This is what weekends were made for....

not a lot to say because the weekend was just EPIC !!!!!!!!!! To every one in the club thank you all for a fantastic weekend, and yes she love,s it.

walked into the house a she say,s have you changed the car, i replied hmm oh fook then deep intake of air, why do you say that my love of my life,and she because the car that you left in and the one that has just driven into the garage is differend. WTF.( oh lord give the right words to say to her ) 10 mins later she,s in the car with the roof down howling with delight. (wonder would she scream that loud upstairs) ha ha ha

Glad to hear the car went down well at home Weepee. You should never have doubted her! Enjoy it.

PS - what's the name of that nightclub again, must pay it a visit...
