In fairness I'd hope the pics don't do it justice.

On a serious note, I appreciate that Global Autosports is a sponsor and so welcome the regular posting of cars in their inventory, but I think a rethink of the text description might be in order.

But, since Global presents the car to FL (among others), the poor write-up is theirs too.

They recently listed another car and stated it "needed nothing" when it was clearly due for a major.

Sponsor or not, there's not a lot of added value to that kind of pass-through service. Just my two cents.

When I post certain cars on Ferrari Life I like to include the sellers actual notes for you guys to read/judge if this car is potentially for you. He may have had the major service done already, I can find out if anybody is interested.

car looks filthy,,,i wonder what the motor looks like,,judging by the outside,,,it most likely was not cared for ..i thought the 348 started in 1990 ?? whats up with that ?? PS i cant believe anyone would take pictures of such a filthy car..and then try to sell it. lol it has to be a joke, " you wont find another 348 as good as this " are you fucking kidding me !!

But mileage means nothing other than a possible indicator of condition. I would rather buy a 40k mile 348 that has been serviced, washed and cared for. Anybody that lets their car get like that and that's the SALES photo means thise 12k miles were driven hard and put up wet.

I will ask the seller for better photos but no promises. If it was my car, I would not be advertising it with those photos. From what I was told, the seller is not very camera/computer friendly.

So Ariel, which is it? Presumably, he sent you the photos originally, so you can't have it both ways.

The seller signed up last week without any photos. His assistant called over the weekend and asked how to add the photos to the advertisement. They emailed us the photos and we put them up. Each car and each scenario is different. We try to gather as much info on each car as possible but some sellers are easier to deal with and have more knowledge of the car then others.

You are correct... It is not the cleanest 348TS. When I saw the front spoiler I thought the same.

A couple of pictures of the engine is gonna reveal a bunch also.... you can't drive just a paintjob.... some pics of receipts of any work would also be quite helpful. The spoiler issue doesn't hurt it too much except for the bold cleanest 348 ever statement.

Sorry Ariel I'm sure we collectively don't mean to be a bunch of ball busters, its just that purchasing a Ferrari can be daunting enough without having to sift through vague/misleading language. These comments are meant to help.

And yes Brett... they made 348s in 1989. It was the first year for them.

So, for me, as a prospective buyer, when I see that sort of blatant "attention-grabbing" description, I'm always suspicious. "you can search 'til the end of time"? Really? I think most people should remember that, Just like the bully who knows Karate: there's always something better.

Don't try to convince me: SHOW ME. Let the photos and receipts tell me how it was maintained, and what it does or doesn't need.

This sort of description that is quite obviously MISLEADING, and a poor sell-job will make a serious buyer like myself run... away. What else is he trying to hide?
