While I believe all of the known Targa and Spider conversions are covered in this thread, this seems like the appropriate place to mention this: Serial number 75448 (ZFFSG17A5J0075448, a Spyder Targa conversion) was last seen for sale in Indiana in April, 2009. In the hopes that someone will Google the VIN the next time it comes up for sale, let it be noted here that this car is NOT safe and, as much as I hate to say it, should probably be destroyed. Aside from the forged service records and the lie-like-a-rug odometer, the car was very poorly converted only after a serious accident (likely a rollover). It's not clear whether the accident made the car unsafe, or if the conversion was the proverbial straw, but the car bends like a prank-pulling Gumby trying to escape a pissed off Pokey. It's a death trap, and is too costly even if it were free.

Sounds like a bad math death trap.

It's funny the add says one of the better conversions they have seen. that would imply they have seen more than one. I have been to practically every large ferrari event at one time or another and i have only seen one. I'd be willing to bet the number of people that have seen more than two can be fit in the small room i am in now. they clearly get around more than i do!

I assume then it probably has a salvage title? If so, that alone would speak volumes.

I've been to so many car events over the years, and I've only seen two - one of which was a Fiero replica!

I appreciate that the data plate says this car was imported by HRH Al Saud, but I have nothing in my database that corroborates that (and forgive the implication, but those plates are not impossible to fabricate).

However, what I do have is this: this car was converted by Zender, NOT by the factory. In fact, Ferrari NEVER made a Targa Testarossa - they sanctioned only one convertible Testarossa, made by Pininfarina, for Giovanni Agnelli (62897).

Also, this car was originally white with white interior. On 29 March 1990 it was reported stolen in Massachusetts. It was apparently recovered (some time before September), but the date is unclear. Then in 1995 it was for sale through the Auto Toy Store of Ft. Lauderdale, at which time the interior was black.

This car's history is unclear, but it definitely wasn't converted by the factory, and this isn't the only Targa-converted Testarossa out there.
