There are multiple cars with 99999. See start of this discussion. As far as I know, none were bodyless. But like I said, this is just from memory ...

were all F50's built in the order of their serials? I have a 96 in the middle of a lot of confirmed 95's and a 97 that is before a 96. Comments?

It seems like MOST were indeed built in order of the serialnumbers. But not all. For example, I have s/n 105024 as 138/349 and s/n 105081 as 134/349.

Please note that the "years" are not always reliable. I mean, in the US they often mean "model year" which does not have to be equal to the year in which the car was built. In most European countries the "year" is often the year in which it was first registered.

yeah, because in ads for gerd petrics i have it as a 95 but its one of the last serials. I think they said it was a 95 to get it into the us, similar story for some of the mclaren f1's.

Crash test! Every model that's going for production has to have 2 sent for crash test.

Only the prototypes and production cars have SNs. The crash test cars are salvaged for what is still usable.

It could be that the crash test cars also have s/n because they are build like the production cars right? So they go through the same processes. I think they have s/n too. Actually, I'm pretty sure about it. Can anybody confirm?

Hmmmm, curious.
I have two RHD F50's # 103047 and # 102852.

There were more than 2 made in RHD.

Thanks for the pic. I haven't seen many pics of the RHD cars. Do you have any more or know the serial of that one?

And that interior is truly hideous.

Sorry, I have no idea where I got the photo from. It is one of the Brunei cars, which I suppose goes some way to explaining the interior.

Ok. Yes, its one of the Brunei cars, only 1 that wasn't going to Brunei was RHD and that was converted later. Thanks for the pic though.
