I saw a pic of 3729 (Jon Shirley's) and the front right was damaged badly. Can anyone confirm when or how this happened?

Jon's car was damaged during the 250GTO reunion. From what I understand, someone pulled out in front of him and Jon couldn't stop in time. (not Jon's fault) The car was parked at that point due to the damage incurred. Here are pictures of SN#3729 after the damaged sheetmetal was removed to assess the damage when it returned to Washington state. ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the information and wonderful pics. It is a shame this happened. I'm sure the guy who is at fault won't find issurance anytime soon if his insurance company has to pay for the bill. Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing these pictures with us. |

Hi all- The snapshots are mine. When I was in Puyallup, WA last January, I was over at the restoration shop looking at Jon's 500 Mondial (S/N 0422MD) as it was being cleaned for the upcoming Cavallino show. As I headed out the door, I realized the 250GTO was Jon's and took three quick pictures for my S/N 3729 archive. Fortunately the damage was mostly cosmetic from my initial inspection. Thanks for the welcome to the forum. I'll take a look around and post more when I get some time available. If you are interested in more pictures from my archive (10K+ and growing), head over to my website at www.marksavory.com [automobiles]. I recently re-posted a few of my S/N 0286AM restoration pictures and historical race history again. I will post my 0402AM, 0010M, 0768TR, and all the Ferrari's I have worked on as part of the restoration team as I get time. If any interested in more, just let me know. Mark Phoenix, Arizona |

Your site is looking great. Seems like you achieved with your live what I want to do later. Travel the world, having fun, having a passion, and when you're out of money you work for a year or two. Atleast that's the way your life looks like to me. Hope to see you here more often. |

Well this car has been fully repaired very nicely. Here is the car at Laguna only 3 weeks ago: http://www.ferrariforum.net/members/...to.php?id=2346 The front right looks like it is in good shape. |
