Numbers or markings to identify originality

Hello All,

Other than the VIN, engine number, and chassis number, are there any other numbers or markings that would identify the originality of a Ferrari (and in particular a 365 2+2)?

Thank you,
Gianni

Gianni,
I don't know about that but if you can find photos with the car in it that could help confirm the originality.

There is also a build or assembly number on Ferraris from that vintage. Probably the only person who has that information is Marcel Massini. The build number may be found on body panels and other locations on the chassis.

My old 70 365 GTB/4 14009 was assembly number 364, as an example. Marcel provided that number.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

Hello Terry,

Thank you very much for the information. I was in the process of writing to Mr. Massini and will include asking him about the assembly number once I get the other numbers from the seller (1969 365 GT 2+2).

Best regards,
Gianni
