348 Buyers guide (and others) links broken

Hi,

Wanted to get the 348 buyers guide but both links are broken. The download link does not work and the amazon one redirects to the www.amazon.com page not found (tried the 360 and a few others).

Does anyone have a guide I can look at or can someone fix the links !.

TIA

Hi Jonny,

Thanks for the reply. I am viewing this afternoon a car that I am likely to purchase. Has a window issue but seem unable to post the images to the site the upload seems not to work. I'll look up the magazine you mentioned thanks for the reply.

Cheers
Martin

That's good Martin, what is wrong with the window? not opening/closing?

the 348 has a number of things to look out for, which model are you looking at early TS/TB ? one thing I can remember is they have transverse gearboxes and needs a engine out for major service, they also have twin clutch plates on the earlier models up to the GTS/GTB if I remember, not the easiest car to work on according to my Ferrari mechanic.

But I believe a well maintained 348 could be a great Ferrari, any model.

Its a 348 TS 1993 so from what I have read should have the electrics upgraded from the issues with all the pre 93 early models.

Have taken the plunge. The car had a full 60K service at a Ferrari main dealer . The engine bay looks literally brand new. The cam belt has hence just been changed. All electrics work. The only thing that needs to be changed is the centre console which looks pretty tatty and the door openers both need replacing as they are tatty also. The beige leather otherwise is all in very good condition.

The window is a white colour near the bottom seal on passenger side about inch in length. Similar to a much less extent on drivers side. just 2 small areas overall. The garage guy reckons its a well known issue with 348's but of course that could be sales talk.

Its in great condition and drives well. I should be picking it up in a couple of weeks time so I will post some pictures etc once I have it all sorted and on the road. First ferrari...blown away I know it may not be a smooth ride but its a ride I am prepared to take like most on this site I guess .

Regards
Martin

That's cool Martin, congrats on the car, being your first - well yes I remember mine and I really wanted to close the deal, if not to many things to sort then its actually fun !

keep us posted and put some pics, I think you will be able to post some soon, maybe your profile is lacking something.
