Bill- Really good deal. I know of two 550 owners who were trading their cars and offered them up for the $50K each rather than trade them. Both had minor problems, and nobody took them up on the deals, but it shows you the good deals are out there if you hunt hard enough.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

A minor problem would not put me off too much. I understand that ferrari's are a completely different animal when it comes to maintenance, but I feel confident doing most jobs in my garage. Of course, I would have to look over what would have to be done before hand. Getting in over your head is a good way to drain a bank account.

I guess what I'm saying is I am not against the idea of a Ferrari that would need some nursing back to good health.

Just be aware of parts prices on 355s too. Granted the engine out service is a big chunk of labor. But if you have to do headers, cats, and valve guides, the prices are pretty astronomical. Those are the scary ones.
I put on hyper-flow cats and a nouvalari exhaust on my car and the biggest expense was all the follow-on work to get the slow down lights and check engine lights to behave.

Derek- Lots of cars out there that need a little tender loving care. Like Bill said, though, parts can get kind of expensive.
