Was it tracked? If it's a low mileage under 5k - you only have to worry about poor gas mileage. Most important - welcome to Flife and feel free to share any of the 599's you are contemplating. | |

Welcome to Ferrari Life. Plan on $1000-2000 per year annual maintenance costs. Plus budget some extra money for tires, especially rear ones. Why a 2010? There are good deals on models from 07/08. The later ones are still quite expensive. Go to member introductions and tell us about yourself. I believe we have a couple of HGTE owners here. The only difference between an 08 and 10 is the HGTE package was available on the 10 model. Maintenance on the two is virtually identical and the warranty on the 10s will all expire during 2012, so not much to choose between except price, and that could be as much as $60-70K. Unless you are set on an HGTE package, I would just go for the one in the best shape that matches what you want, regardless of year. There were several updates from the 07 year to 08 year cars, but much fewer (except HGTE) for the remainder of production. You are in luck, a very high percentage are black. I would search all the Ferrari North America dealer sites and then look in all the common on-line sources like E-Bay, cars.com and autotrader.com. There are quite a few out there.

599 for me, but I am fond of 12 cylinders. 07/08 599s are really good deals compared to their nearly $400K price when new.

599s tend to be very well built and highly reliable.....but their is the occassional lemon. Check the service records and stay away from any 599 that seems to have made an excessive number of trips to the workshop. Good luck with the hunt! I am on the same boat as you. Looking for a 599 in white with black interior. Preferably a 08.

If somebody wants a black 599, they are in fat city. Look like about half of them for sale are black. On E-Bay US right now there are ~33 599s, and ~17 of them are black. How about a white wrap? Plus Rosso Mugello is a great color when you get tired of the white. $167.5K for a pre-certified car? They really are coming down. Matt- If you can afford it, go for it. That is like a brand new car. It is a car, so it will depreciate, especially with the F12 close. About the only things that do not depreciate are the supercars like the Enzo. Its replacement will be near $1M and you have to be a friend of the factory to get on the list for one.
