FLED #2: Please make your hotel reservations

Fellow friends
To be sure interested parties will recognize, I decided to create a special Thread for our FLED #2 hotel reservation details. Be advised that Thursday, the 11th. of June is a catholic holiday and many people are taking of for a long holiday weekend. Many hotels are only accepting 3 day stays over that time, a reason why I was not able to make reservations in the Hotel Giardino in Ascona as wished by some of you. Apart from that, everything works as planned with all other hotels.

I kindly ask you to make hotel reservations within the next week latest to be assured that everything will work.

When reserving your hotel room for you or/and your partner, please mention that you belong to the "Ferrari meeting", as they will be able to plan for the dinner table for you as well.

The helicopter flying is organized for Thursday morning June 11th., around 10:30 am to 11:00 am, only depending on wheather conditions. So far, 2-4 people will fly, the rest of us will enjoy a drink in the meantime.

Dear friends

Make sure, your hotel reservations are done either via phone, fax or email adress of the relevant hotel !!
Using the hotels websides will often channel you to a automated booking machine, which, as programmed, will only allow you to book for a minimum stay of 3 nights (remember the catholic holiday). I have reserved enough lots for the FLED meeting with each hotel for 1 night stays. It will work. Just do not forget to mention "Ferrari meeting".

Also please make sure that your reservation will be done latest Sunday as they will close the lots some time later for other guests to come.

Many thanks 212Export for organising what looks like superb hotels and for assisting me with the process.

The motor is back in the 308 and now they are fettling the suspension as this project has become one of those "while we are at it, let's fettle further" and following on from Schumacher's favourable reports of fettling his 308's suspension. The fundamentals of this vetroresina are so good that it makes sense to pay attention to the details. And to have a rebushed suspension for the Alpine twisties. Roll on June!

Not at all. Glad to have you guys here in June. I'm sure your very light and nimble Vetroresina will be a joy to drive around those narrow bends!

No problem at all Jimmy. I will call the hotels to tell 'em that you will decide until end of April. If they have still rooms at that time great. If not in case you come, we will find alternative ways to deal with.

I've confirmed the 10th and 13th but I'm struggling with 11th and 12th. Castello Seeschloss says I need to book at least 4 nights (what ridiculous notion is that?), and the Schlosshotel is full.

which is only 2.5km away.

For the 11th, I'm awaiting a response from Castello Seeschloss.

Onno, sorry but this is wrong..they wait for your reservation. All lots have been kept open for YOU. On both hotels, Seeschloss and Chasté. Give me a call !
