Default Footage from Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2011

Do you have any type of footage from Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance this past year? Obviously there are many outstanding Ferraris there every year and I think some people would like to see them.

Motion Products, Inc sent out three cars, one of which took home a first place prize, and the other took home a third place for its class (2 Ferrari 250 GTOs and 1 342 America - ex-King Leopold car). Check out them warming up right here: Ferrari 250 GTO SWEET Sound Revving (1st Car of 36) - YouTube

Thanks! enjoy!

Very nice. At first the exhaust looked a bit too white, like not normal, but then seemed to warm up.

Great film and beautiful cars.

Rik- That is water vapor, which stops when the car is fully warmed. From the looks of the mist clinging to all the cars, it was really humid and maybe even a bit chilly that morning.

In the olden days before modern valve stem seals, all of those SOHC cars smoked a bit, especially at start-up. Most of them have been fitted with updated seals, but not all.

Dear Wayne,

Congratulations! You must have done a perfect job on Joe's car to have beaten all the rest of those GTO's. But I would have expected no less.

Best regards,

Robert

aha. So, just a little smoke in the start is not a big deal. Kind of like my older cars too.

Cars DID sound awsome. You could almost hear the firing order, well, so I wanted to believe.

Dear Brad,

Here is another one you may pass along to Wayne. At the 2010 FCA National Meet Wayne was my judge for the Coppa Bella Macchina award. This is a shot of our starting out on the driving portion of the test. As you can see he did not have a windscreen on his side, but I still passed the test and received the award.

Best regards,

Robert

Who needs Vegas when you have a vintage race car?! I don't think I've ever seen a old race car that didn't have some sort of story to follow it through the years.

That car looks great in Motion...

I listened while Wayne diligently worked thru the entire 9 or so pages of the Coppa Bella Macchina checklists w/ my dad about 0556(0446)MD. After the first several pages, it became very clear that the Coppa checklists were not drafted with old race cars in mind. Wayne and my dad essentially laughed their way thru the last several pages which included such questions as "does the passenger door puddle courtesy light function?" well, if there WAS a passenger door, and IF it had a light . . .
At one point, Wayne had to ask "is the cockpit excessively drafty?" as he was still picking the bugs out of his teeth . . . .

After seeing photos like the one above, I would have to believe the mere fact that the car is still on the road is enough grit to get an award! For all of the cars that hit all of the points on the check list, I'm curious if the Mondial has the honor of winning with the least amount of check marks?
