Default Looking for V8 Ferraris Father's Day Weekend (Motorama - Lafayette, CA)

Hi Guys,

A quick invite to the Ferrari Life crowd... The Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary Club to which I belong (a 501c3 Community Service and International Humanitarian Organization see: http://www.rotary.org) is hosting its 2nd Annual Motorama Car Exhibit on Father's Day Weekend (June 18th and 19th) in Lafayette, CA and we are looking for exhibitors of all V8 (and any other unique) Ferraris.

WHAT: The Motorama Exhibit is a concours quality car and unique automtive transport show held in downtown Lafayette, CA (Postino's Parking Lot on Mt. Diablo Blvd.) with the purpose of raising funds for Rotary's philantrhopic efforts.

WHY: This is the Lamorinda Sunrise Rotary Club's main annual fund raiser for our community service and international philanthropic efforts. 100% of all proceeds go directly to our charitable causes, and all donations are tax deducativble as we are a 501c3. See more about our philanthropic and community service efforts here: Int & Community Service - Rotary Club of Lamorinda Sunrise or Rotary Home Team - Home Maintenance for the Elderly.

WHEN: Dinner Gala and Auction is Saturday night June 18th, 2011. Motorama Exhibit is Sunday June 19th (Father's Day).

DETAILS: This year the exhibit is focusing on a "then and now" theme... showing the lineage of many classic automobile series (e.g. the 10? generation of 911 Porsches, the six generations of Corvettes, and yes... the generations of V8 Ferraris). The exhibit is seeking 1 excellent representative of each generation of V8 Ferrari from the Dino all the way to the 458 Italia to demonstrate the evolution of the V8 Ferrari. I deally - we would like to do a similar run on V12 Ferraris, but we realize the cahllenge of obtaining some of these rare vehicles. Cost to exhibit is $50 per car and it includes access to the VIP section mentioned below.

BACKGROUND: This is an excellent event serving a good community. Last year over 3,500 people attended and I can personally vouch as an exhibitor of 2 of my vehicles that the security and respectfulness/quality of the participants should provide you comfort in displaying your car. There is a VIP section for Dads and Exhibitors that includes a brunch served by Postino's see: Postino Restaurant, wine and whiskey tasting, old fashioned barber, lounge area with all the sports, live band, etc. Last year's vehicles ranged from an Alfa Romeo 8C to early flathead American cars & customs, to Jaguars, and of course several V8 and V12 Ferraris (e.g. a 612 Scaglietti and a Testarossa or two).

EVENT INFORMATION: World of Wheels Event :: Motorama or contact Hays Englehart at 818-642-6260 if you wish to exhibit and/or attend the dinner gala. There is a limited number of spaces, so early registation is encouraged.

Thanks for your consideration guys! Let's get Ferrari well represented at the event!

Default Motorama in Lafayette, CA (30 miles East of San Francisco)

Thx Dermot. Modern cars are most certainly welcome. We'd love to have you. Just contact Hays Englehart as per my post. There were about 300 cars there last year and about half were modern era (e.g. 1980-->). Of the 6 Ferraris there last year, the oldest was a 328.

P.S. Dad's Day VIP at the event is a nice gig... brunch by Postino's , wine tasting, cigar bar, live band, etc.

Cheers,

Hey Dermott,

Just checking in to see if you will be bringing your Scuderia to Motorama this year... Space is filling up quickly and it would be GREAT to have yoru rocket there. NOTE: this is a much nicer venue and setup than the Danville Hot August Nights. No riff raff, higher end cars, smaller community feel..

cheers,
