Default Wales Tour

Did a short tour in Wales this past weekend. Good mix of Ferraris and other high performance cars. Great roads and great organization. Beautiful scenery and some very technically challenging driving.

Awesome! Brings back happy memories of FLED 2.5! Wales is spectacular driving country and the prices of food and drink are lower than most places. Looks like a lot of variety on the run this time, nice.

my ex-wife is from Wales - I have driven thru a lot of the south - she was from LLangolllyn and Chepstow.

It was beautiful country, even if she was satan . . . .

A bit worse actually. Took about 2 hours to get all the mud off.

let's just say that what I took to be some quirky Welsh independence turned out to be full-on crazy. And, as it turns out, mixing prozac and tequila doesn't help the situation. . . .
I will say that I had a lot of respect for her grandfather, who worked at the Newport ironworks his whole life. We visited her grandparents during our honeymoon trip to the UK in 1990 which coincided w/ the 50th anniversary celebration of the Battle of Britain. I went out one night w/ her grandfather and his mates to their drinking club in Newport and got to hear the tales of the old guys about listening at night to the Heinkels overhead on their way to bomb the hell out of Birmingham and Coventry - just waiting for the night that they in Newport would be the target. Luckily that night never came.
