Hi all,
FLED 2.5 was a success, some fantastic roads , food, wine and of course company. Too tired to write the report (just home from the ferry), but here's a couple of the pics I took....

Barry,

Those are some great pics, thanks for posting and please do put some more online as soon as you've recovered! Love the roads, love the views and I see you've got some cultural sites in there as well.

How many of you guys were out there anyway? 5 or 6 or so? FLED sure looks like a lot of fun. Any views on when the next one is due?

Cheers,
Irvin

Some talk about a FLED 3 in the spring (perhaps to Maranello) - plus I'd love to see all you guys over in Ireland for a trip!!

That's a pretty cool line-up! But you guys were clearly short a 328
Will be keeping eyes and ears open for any future drives around Europe, though I imagine these parties are best not too sizeable (given that 5 cars are hard to keep together already).

Glad to see the F40 out and about again, Boxer!

The rims on Vitalone's 308, hmmm, I'm not sure... Maybe my upbringing was too strict...

Great photos, thank you very much for sharing it. Especially those great landscape photographs impress me very much. Glad you are all home save (but tired, I understand!?)

Waiting for all those detailed comments and more pictures...!

Guys,
I have lots of other pics, but I don't know (pardon my IT ignorance) how to blur the reg numbers. Anyone know what I should do?

Vitalone...oh my god these Rims......that car looks ready for a remake of 24heure de Le Mans ! The rims look actually "deeper" than those on the 512 s!
They look fantastic! And the golden colour is exactly as those in the 70's at the 512s and 312PB...congrats!

Thank you Sir! The golden, deep-dished 12"rims transform the 308 from being pretty to the hardcore mid-1970's road racer that it is. Once I sort out the uploading gremlins here, I will post a few close-up shots.

Actually driving 250km through England yesterday in gale winds and pouring rain without wipers (we made the ferry at Dover!), followed by a 360 km drive though France, Belgium and Netherlands in the dark and rain with intermittent wipers only (I could switch them on and off for a wipe every 30 seconds or so), made me feel like a famous racing driver who had brought the works car home after a marathon session. 12 hours, 700km of driving and navigating (600 in the rain without wipers!) and 90 minutes of worry about the storm following us on the ferry later. Still feel a mixed sense of relief and pride in myself and the car for surviving "the race". Despite her breakdowns, the little red berlinetta has never left me in the lurch (touch wood). Even when a head cracked and mixed oil and water during the drive back from Guernsey pre-rebuild, she still got me home.

We missed you and Onno at FLED 2.5 and hope to see you on FLED 3, if not sooner.

Default Vitalones car

I agree with Barry. Better in the flesh. Every time I looked at it I got the impression that given the chance it would bite my head off. Very aggressive looking car driven by a real gent.

Thank you for your kind words, fellow FLED 2.5ers. This is the spirit of FLED where we share the passion for the magnificent Ferrari's. And develope a few in-house jokes. Not that there's anything wrong with in-house jokes.
