Default Fled 3???

Hi all,
Is there any plans for a Fled 3? If so, is there a proposed location/route and dates?

Would love to participate if the dates/route etc suited.

Barry.

I would definitely like to find out more too. However, funds are a bit tight at the moment due to my pending split from my wife, so could do with a budget version. I'll follow you in a Smart car and stay at the local Ibis, Mecure or Formule-1

Some mixed feed back on this I think. On another thread, I think I read a few potential candidates for a FLED were tied up for the next couple of months.

Anyone interested in Archie's suggestion of a budget Ferrari trip (if that is not an oxymoron!). Maybe if there was enough interest (and it was UK based), a run up to the Scottish highlands for a night or two.

If it was only a short trip I'd perhaps consider bringing my son along, if anyone was interested in a family Ferrari trip (oxymoron no. 2 )

Barry, I would definitely be interested in a 2 or 3 day trip in the UK and would love to bring my lad too, I don't think he'll get homesick or miss his mum too much for just a few days. I took him camping a few weekends ago and we had a great 'Boys' weekend. If you bring your lad, they will both have some company while we spend some time at the bar

Scotland sounds wonderful, and there are some fantastic Castles and hotels to stay at.

Weather permitting I could probably even manage it in October if anyone else is free then?

Well I'd definitely be on for that. To be honest it would suit me better than a bigger trip to Europe on a number of fronts (time, money, ability to bring jack along, etc).

No idea re a route (in fact only suggested Scotland because it was the first place that entered my head - could even consider the Antrim coast in Northern Ireland - supposed to be great too), but it should be easy to arrange, plus hotels would be out of high season, and personally, provided the Ferrari is in a safe location, I'm happy to stay anywhere that is clean and has a bar!

First 2 weekends in October have me tied up with work, but the 2nd two would probably be ok. I'm sure we'd encounter some rain, but I drove through torrential downpours over the Alps in August, so why not Scottish rain in October....

Around first weekend in October would be probably fine for me. Would drive from Switzerland in 1 day to England. Could meet you there for a Scotland trip or a "lake district" trip. As long as the hotel rooms are dry, food is well and company friendly...

Gentlemen, it sounds good to me - Happy to do Scotland, The Lake District, Northern Ireland, North Wales around Snowdonia or even the West Welsh coast. I'm no expert on routes or places to stay, but we have some Scottish members who may be able to offer assistance and join in too.

The only weekends I can't make are:

3/4 Oct - will be jet lagged from my Singapore trip and it's my birthday !!!!

31/1 Nov - away on business that weekend

Every other weekend in Oct is fine for me.

Might be worth posting a new thread to see what interest there is?
