Went to Concorso Italiano, much improved over last several years. Nice job. Down on cars and models like F50, FXX, Euro 308, 365 BBi and others. I really wanted to disect a 365 BBi and Lambo Jarma, I have seen both many times at Concorso, niether made it. I think this is explained by 2 shows and the economy. I think the new owners get "it." I am going back to CI. Your thoughts? NCNG |

I have heard it was a revival which is encouraging. I waited this year for the acknowledgment from those who went. I also heard that traffic was a nightmare. There's only one way in/out on Rte 68. That makes it a bit tough. I may go next year. |

much improved over last year, which this and last one I did not attend. Expecting perhaps next year I'll be there: My grandchildren live in Carmel-By-The-Sea, across from spanish mission and they would give me a room for us ![]() shoot, we'll take sleeping bags if we have to, but the stuff is so booked we would probably just BBQ I truly like the lawn experience. Cooler, more comforting on the feet, but do miss the airplanes...those are very 'cool', also. Shoot, Alan put together the Consours de Lemon so, might even truck down a vehicle for that [I know, but that would be a different fun thing to do]: VW Thing, thinking. Heard the Quail was good, but some LA reporter really trashed the cars: D*&k if you ask me....he should not be invited next year. He actually called Jim G's P3 'ugly duckling', but had to whisper it [said that right on the video] becuase 'the owner was nearby'...ya'. Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! Gcalo, Traffic was tight, but no where near old "Quail Lodge' days, Quail was the best ever Concorso venue for me. Blackhorse was good, the new venue has more sun, Marina was a disaster. My thoughts- NCNG |

From what i have heard your assessment is dead-on. This is why I'll return next year. After hearing Marina horror stories I had enough! Looking to next year. Maybe I'll be able to show off a 458! Last edited by Gcalo; 08-22-2009 at 07:13 PM. |

Wow, what a lovely eclectic bunch. Personally, I always find it fascinating talking to people who are not of the same walk of life as myself - I would love to attend someday as I think there would be food for decent conversation. If I'm in SoCal in the near future, I will send you a PM and perhaps I'll be lucky enough to attend. It sounds like a very special get-together. I hope all involved have a great time at these meetings in future - best of luck with them!
