Default Pure McLaren Driving Experience

Had a wonderful day today courtesy of McLaren. Meet at airfield next to McLaren at 7.45. 15 minute flight to Goodwood circuit. Breakfast and briefing followed by 45 minute road drive and two 20 minute track sessions in latest spec MP4 12C. Flight back to McLaren, lunch, tour round technology circuit and then into the new factory.
One word, stunning!
Everything was organised perfectly, attention to detail was simply the best.
The 12C is a wonderful car, docile and well mannered and then the next second a wild animal.
Many thanks to McLaren for a perfect day and for once in the UK even the weather was hot and dry with a clear blue sky.

Originally had my name down for a 12C, decided not to take up my option 18 months ago but they have kept in contact and are very keen to get buyers!

Russell a question..

Firstly, sounds great, a great day for sure

How has the 12C sales performed in the UK, do they expect a long waiting list for the spider?

But it does sound like a good classy move by McLaren to give you that day when your not a customer (or you have the F1).

I would of really liked the 12c, but I just don't like the rear of the car .

Someday: - Nero Ferrari 458 Italia with yellow calipers (^ ^,)

Can't really truthfully answer the question about sales, UK has taken about 300 12C's but no idea how this compares to target. Total sales of 1500 so far. The London dealer, which is the flagship dealer, has slots for this year still available for the coupe. The spider is 'still' officially denied although we all know it is coming and they will take a letter of intent. I'm not a McLaren owner, in fact only one person on the driving experience today was an owner. I believe they are planning on doing about 30 of these days a year, 10 people in the morning and 10 in the afternoon.

So do you like it enough to sell the 16M? That, my friend, is the question.

Their volcano orange and red are great colors. Have not seen the new yellow yet; would be interesting to compare it to the Gallo tristrato...

Agree - looking forward to their Scud version.

I am a fan of the Mclaren but believe the later versions are going to be incredible.

Visited their Showroom in Monte Carlo this afternoon, some pretty stunning colour combo's on display, but next door is Scuderia Monte Carlo & there were some better Ferrari's there, like a nice Silver Enzo which had your name all over it Doug

I saw a silver Mac on display at Zurich airport and it is a nice car. I'm so happy it was created. It makes the sports car world even more interesting and it sharpens Ferrari even more. I just can't understand the boring logo embleme.

Salve,
