i decided to take the F1 up to Hermosa Beach for my Wed night meeting,, right about 645 PM..driving along PCH,,i didnt get the car out of 3rd gear..LA county traffic is a real joke, and no place to take a Ferrari out , unless your going to Angeles Crest,,or if your lucky enough to live in PV or in my case,,have lived there, but its still in my back yard,,if i didnt have those few little twistys and that mini Big Sur coast line drive , where no freeway is necessary to get there, well, i dont know,i certainly wouldnt be riding or driving as much as i do .Getting to the Ortega, which is the gateway to Gods country(,San Diego county, Riverside county) is at least 60 miles if not more from my house. So that means 60 freeway miles to and from, and on a short day ,another 60 or more miles of ass on fire canyon sickness . This makes for a minimum 5 hour ride from door to door , with one stop for gas , if on two wheels . Ill be looking forward to my departure from this state. 25 years is more than enough .I came and did what i wanted to do, from racing bikes to jumping 8 foot waves in Ventura Harbor on a Sea Doo, to boogie boarding in Pacific Beach , to riding a 250 ATC fully modified , on twenty story san dunes in Glamus , to weekends on the Colorado river in Parker AZ and Laughlin , NV , as well as 140 MPH average speeds on a couple of Death Valley excursions.( its funny when your doing 120 and you have to look at the ground to see if your really going that fast,.because it feels like 40) California has been good to me, but its time to say goodbye. Now if only the job market would pick up,, Oh , i forgot to mention shifting gears side by side with Ray, both on wheelies , on the most powerful jap sportbikes ever built , now that was a RUSH.

Just move to North County San Diego. It's like "Field of Dreams" for car lovers. I am on empty twisty backroads before the car is even warm. Pure heaven.

| + 1 ..great area, I wouldnt mind moving back to San Diego county,in fact i have sent a couple of resumes for jobs out that way,,but its still very expensive to live, California is fastly becoming like Mexico..the very poor and the very wealthy, with very little in between .In fact, in some places its very hard to distinguish the two.
