Default Need Opinions Please

Hi...I have a 2003 360 Spider and I need a new alternator and harness...I was quoted $3900 for both (new) at my local ferrari dealer and was told my price was a discounted one. Does this seem correct and a fair price? Please let me know.

Thanks,

David

Default insane

thats insane,,,its to bad that Ferrari is a license to steel,,,call Ferrari recycling ,,Ferr Parts,,,GT Cars...916 974 1939,/,,623 780 2200 / 916 431 3515 respectivley. Mike at Ferrari service of Costa Mesa Ca ,also buys wrecked F CARs/.also Forza Magazine has a handful of Ferrari parts sources in their advertising,,T Rutlands and Ricambi might have something ,,good luck,,Brett PS..the good thing is that,,Ferraris do get wrecked, and you can get good used parts for less than the ass reaming at the dealer, and at most shops,,,I got an almost new, used set of front brake rotors for my 89 328 for less than half the price of new,,

Alternator OEM on e-bay 500 - 750.00

Wire harness 450 - 600.00

No idea on labor hours but my guess at 125.00 per hour it's not a 25 hour job.

Is there a smaller shop that will allow you to buy the parts?

Cost me $2000 for my harness including labor. Total bs as Ferrari knows their harness is crap, hence the upgraded harness.

Have you seen your harness, closest to the alternator? How do you know it needs to be replaced?
