Default P4 at Goodwood

Hi! It's been a while, but I did these digital paintings a couple of weeks ago of a P4 at Goodwood race track - Thought I'd share with you guys.
I've got these at 1920x1080 if anyone wants a large version.
All the best,
Matt.

Hey thanks, you're very welcome - I was only going to stick them in an archive, thought I may as well show them to someone before they vanished

These are great. Very brave to drive a P4 at Goodwood. Was the car being pushed?

lol, thanks - yeah, agreed, slightly more at home at the FOS, but there you go
You've got the car I was going to paint next - the F40! I was going to do an autumn scene, back country road at high speed (kinda thing) quite happy to stick your number plate on it if you want a free bit of artwork.

Good luck with the painting of the F40.

My plate is just a generic UK plate so nothing special like a lot of F40s around here.

Thanks Boxer - this is what I've got so-far, one study (couldnt sleep last night!) and the main pic...I ended up with a more of an American landscape/road kind of look. Branch is a bit heavy top right, but hey-ho... I'll rework it when I have an hour or so.
Thanks for looking

...and this one is from last year (hopefully you can see a bit of improvement!, not exactly what you might call 'subtle')
Anyways, wont bore you with any more painty stuff.
All the best, M

Thanks again, M

....and lastly, a a young lady on a Ducati 916. This needs a fair bit of re-working, but it's on its way..kept the colour scheme/setting similar to the F40 pic s I quite like the autumn colours.

Pretty darn impressive! I like the more subtle ones best, such as the first P4. But they all have something special.

Thank-you, nice of you to say matey I prefer the slightly misty, sparce ones myself.. the more subtle light is harder to do though!..., but next up will be a Dino in the early morning, somewhere, (any suggestions?!)

agreed. The dream sequences are much better than normal kodacrome IMO. Seen enough in real life, but those representations leave the mind in so many more states of reference.

good job.

Very nice, especially the 'misty' ones, my compliments! How do you do that, Photoshop plugin's, or am I insulting you big time by assuming that...?

G'morning - wow, thanks for the compliments and taking the time out to comment, appreciate it.
Yup, agreed - stick to the more dreamy ones from now on, I prefer them too. Has anyone tried printing one of these off? According to this computer (although its different to the one they are made on) they should print out at 14x8 inches which is not a bad size - could be useful for something I guess. Feel free to do whatever you want with these, there is no copyright as I have no intention of doing anything with them, they're just for the hell of it. I enjoy doing them
PHOTOSHOP FILTERS?!
How very dare you! lol!, no mate, they are a bit more complex than that. There are several stages of process going on here, but they are indeed finished by hand on a A3 wacom tablet. Bit like real painting, but less messy (and covering up mistakes is easier!). Each one takes a about 5-6 hours depending on the light and the amount of blending to be done. Misty ones are a pain in the arse - that second P4 took 8 hours to finish off, and was spread over 18 layers...which is er,..why I havent done one like that in a while Ahem. But I'll do a misty Dino next, but would appreciate any suggestions on surroundings/settings/colour of car etc? Won't be for a few days though as I have to work in my normal graphic job.
Thanks again, and of course, if anyone has a Dino they want painted in this way, I can kill two birds with one stone and put your 'plate on it... no worries
